this christmas
ive had an amazing brainstorm for what ill be giving away as gifts this year!
i will be creating a little hamper for each of my individual friends and family members that will all be homemade, handmade and organic! such as little paintings, cards, christmas biscuits, truffles, chutney, jams, soup (seperate from the food of course!) and bath bombs! im really excited about cooking and making my presents this year even more individual and creative! Lets hope you are on my christmas list!

10 things men don't understand about women....apparently.
Msn is my home page and this little article popped up. Curiosity got the best of me and i ended up frowning at my computer screen heres why...
10 things...
- Why we have to own so many pairs of shoes
just a bit sexist but there you go.
- Why we want to be independent (but still want doors held open for us)
just being a bloody hypocrite.
- Why we have to make the bed
Apparently women have an urge to make the bed where as men like to leave it as they left it. Personally ive found it to be the other way round in past relationships.
-Why we take so long getting ready
i take ten minutes.
- Why we have to browse
I hate shopping that is dragged on throughout the day. Go in a shop knowing what you want, quick look around, dont like it then leave.
- Why kisses on text messages are important
"Men take note: women do actually count how many kisses you put on the end of your text messages, and yes, it does mean something to us, like exactly how much you like us."
What a load of Rubbish. The number of kisses in a text show how much you like them? Pathetic. I may seem a bit heartless but i would rather take note on what they said in the text to determine wiether they liked me or not rather than the amount of kisses.
- Why chocolate makes things feel better instantly
Im not a chocolate girl. I find it a little sickly.
- Why we don't laugh at fart jokes
"Fart jokes simply aren't funny unless you're a bloke."
I must be a bloke then
- Why one black skirt/handbag/pair of heels is never enough.
Do i need to explain?
- Why our hormones take over once a month
I dont see how this relates in the slightest. I dont see how they wouldn't understand as they would then know that you are on your period.
I may be reading it all wrong but it makes me angry the whole; men dont understand us because we like shopping, chocolate and making the bed in the morning.

lime in the coconut
went to the saatchi gallery the other day and wasn't as impressed with the artwork as i was with the food market outside! I drank from one of these babies while trying to find my way back.
Well worth £3.
some people go but i will stay as i'm not what i do
bitter sweet taste left when ill walk away
walking towards a better you.
help me ive gone to deep
im suffocating in depths of reality.
am i half full or half empty?
bitter sweet taste left when ill walk away
walking towards a better you.
help me ive gone to deep
im suffocating in depths of reality.
am i half full or half empty?
but i am losing grip
your kiss is one you can keep
ive learnt now to think twice
who said your killing her softly
when your the one with the thorns in your side.
a mocking bird over heard
your kiss is one you can keep
ive learnt now to think twice
who said your killing her softly
when your the one with the thorns in your side.
a mocking bird over heard
and told me back all the lies
he gave me comfort knowing the truth
as he stole your soul from your eyes.
he gave me comfort knowing the truth
as he stole your soul from your eyes.

...
Id rather wake up beside you and breathe that old familiar smell.
I never thought you would leave me, i figured i was the one.
But i understand your sadness and i guess i should just hold my tongue.

Smile
'Smile and if you see someone with out a smile, give them yours'
saw a quote like this earlier and it really cheered me up. Its easy to be miserable and upset but to put a smile on top of that and laugh at the situation is completely different as well as a brilliant goal.
when life gives you lemons, make lemonade and my lemonade will be amazing.

New start. New ideas.
Just felt like posting cover of MGMT kids by Allison.W which i really enjoyed.
Been practising playing guitar, mandolin and my newly painted ukulele (which ill post a picture at a later date.)
I really want an acoustic night (aka pillows for sitting and watching, a stool and a mic, basically an open mic in the livingroom) someone to play music with to do a duet or a group of people. Everyones in a band but not the kind of band i want to be in. I want something raw, acoustic and heartfelt. Jam Jam Jam.

Trust
“Princeton psychologists recently showed that certain faces, even when expressionless, strike people as trustworthy or untrustworthy. Features like the shape of the eyebrow are part of an unconscious language of trust that powerfully affects human interaction.”

She Keeps Bees
Before Better Than After
Got a chair/box from the local bootfair for around £5! It was horrible and smelly, so i painted it gloss red and got some beautiful velvet! A new piece to my bedroom.

Old Diarys
Found old diary from 1998. In it are wierd statments hinting at an imaginary friend, that i was religious and my aims for the future. One thats probably hit home the hardest is the quote "i will not, i will not get married to two, so by, so by, so bye bye to you."
Micharl C.Hsiung
im absolutely loving his drawings. I'm still captivated by mermaids/men and stumbled upon his work. This one is my favourite.

Yes Please!
Ingredients
4 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons butter or oil
¼ teaspoon vanilla (or peppermint) extract
1 tablespoon choc chips
1 large mug
Preparation method
Add dry ingredients to the mug, and mix well.
Crack an egg and add it to your mug. Be sure to mix it well to avoid any pockets of flour in the corners. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the vanilla extract.
Pop your mug into the microwave & zap for 3 minutes on maximum power (1000watt). Wait until the cake stops rising, and sets in the mug.
If necessary, run a knife around the sides of the mug, and tip the still warm cake out of the mug and onto a saucer.

i'm so impatient. I want it to skip to friday.
I'm not particularly looking forward to the three and a half train journey to Winchester relying on my shitty ipod and flask. But it's all worth it to see Mark. Plus i love Winchester, i feel a lot more free there than on the island.
I'm so fed up with being home, being nagged that I'm not being as creative as i should be, yadda yadda yadda. Or that i occasionally wake up late, even not bother to look nice. Can't wait to actually be in my new house with the girls and mark! without the constant hovering parents.
mark, mark, mark.
Our relationships getting better by the minute.
I was reading a strange but true fact on msn...
Brain scans show that people who view photos of a beloved experience an activation of the caudate — the part of the brain involving cravings.
Hm? Love as a craving? i can see that.
People who are newly in love produce decreased levels of the hormone serotonin — as low as levels seen in people with obsessive-compulsive disorder. Perhaps that's why it's so easy to feel obsessed when you're smitten.
Err and a kinda gross fact...
A man's beard grows fastest when he anticipates sex.
Ew.
Much love.
I'm out.
